Use a Cup to Fill Your Piping Bagsproseccoliving | Posted on July 30, 2026 | Using a cup to fill your piping bag keeps the bag stable, frees both hands, and prevents messy spills 1. Prep the Bag & Cup Cut the tip of the piping bag. Insert your plastic coupler or piping tip. Push the tip securely into the bottom hole. 2. Set Up the Stand Choose a tall, wide-mouthed glass or mug. Drop the piping bag into the cup. Ensure the pointed tip sits at the bottom. 3. Fold the Cuffs Fold the top edges of the bag down. Wrap the cuff over the outer rim of the cup. This keeps the outside of the bag completely clean. 4. Fill with Frosting Use a spatula to scoop up your frosting. Scrape the spatula against the inside of the bag. Fill the bag until it is half full. 5. Secure and Close Unfold the cuffs back up to the top. Squeeze the bag right above the frosting line. Twist the top securely to close the bag.
