Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups cut green beans fresh, canned, or thawed frozen
  • 1 1-.5 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions divided

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F
  2. Mix soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, beans, and 2/3 cup onions in a 1.5-quart casserole dish
  3. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes until the mixture is hot and bubbling
  4. Remove from oven, stir the mixture, then scatter the remaining 2/3 cup onions evenly over the top
  5. Bake for another 5 minutes until the onions turn a golden brown

Notes

Add extra flavor boosters like cheddar cheese or crumbled bacon
