Mudslide

The Mudslide cocktail is a dessert cocktail made with Kahlua and Irish cream that’s a variation on the White Russian. You can make this Mudslide recipe two ways: the classic drink is shaken with coffee liqueur and Irish cream and served up in a cocktail glass. It tastes creamy, classy, and irresistibly chocolaty! Or, you can make it frozen, blended up with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce Kahlua or other coffee liqueur
  • 1 ½ ounces Baileys or other Irish cream
  • 1 ½ ounces heavy cream or 2 scoops vanilla ice cream and ½ cup ice if making it frozen
  • For the garnish: Shaved chocolate optional, chocolate sauce for the rim (optional)

  • 1 Blender optional
  • 1 Cocktail Shaker

Method
 

Classic Mudslide
  1. If desired, rim the edge of a martini glass with chocolate sauce and/or squirt along the inside of the martini glass to create a decorative pattern.
  2. Place the vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, and heavy cream in a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add 2 handfuls of ice and shake until cold.
  4. Strain the drink into a cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish with shaved chocolate if desired. 
Frozen Mudslide
  1. Place the vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, vanilla ice cream and ice in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and pour into a tall glass.
