Notes
Crème de noyaux is a French liqueur with a brandy base that's flavored with essential oils from the pits or kernels of various fruits, including apricots, peaches, plums, and cherries and almonds.
Here are some substitutes for crème de noyaux:
- Amaretto: A good substitute because both liqueurs have an almond flavor, though crème de noyaux is red and amaretto is not. You can use 3/4 ounce of amaretto in place of crème de noyaux or 3 parts amaretto to 1 part pomegranate juice.
- Maraschino cherry syrup: You can use 1 teaspoon of maraschino cherry syrup, preferably from a jar of Luxardo cherries.
