Wine Tags for Mommy

Entering motherhood is exciting. But it can also be easy to lose yourself while your boobs are leaking, hormones are raging, your shiny, thick, beautiful pregnancy hair is falling out, you’re sleep deprived, have no me time and you’re trying to learn to love your new body. Because those boobs will never be the same, and that baby bump tummy takes a long time to get rid of-IF you can get rid of it at all. Mine is still there. I named her my MIla pooch. I will carry her with me forever.

Being a mother is the most amazing gift in the world.
But let’s be real-it’s hard AF. Wine can help!

I love giving these wine baskets to my mom-to-be friends. Baby showers are often all about baby. But people forget that Mommy’s life is about to change drastically, too. Pregnancy was the easy part. AFTER baby arrives is when things get hard. Mommy’s deserve to be remembered and celebrated too.

Wine Tag Steps

  • Click the image or the ‘Download Now’ button to open the link to a copy of the Google Slide tags to edit and personalize them
  • Print the file on a piece of cardstock
  • Cut the tags out around the biggest outline.
  •  Use that shape as a template to trace onto different decorative styles of paper for your tag backgrounds.
  • Then, cut the tags along the inner outline to glue on top of your decorative tag backing to give it a border.
  • Use  a hole punch to create a space for your ribbon. Choose a decorative ribbon to tie your tags to your wine bottles.
  • Buy 6 different bottles of wine and add the labels.
    • I try to buy wines relevant to the tags. For example: Skinny Girl Wine for First time Mommy fits in her pants tag

Personalizing It

In addition to the wines, I add other things from their registry and personalized onesies in a personalized basket. I buy a soft style basket that I iron on Cricuted vinyl with ‘Baby (Last Name) and Est. (year) that Mommy can continue to use for baby after the shower for things like  baby laundry, burp clothes, a diaper caddy, etc. I then arrange everything nicely in the basket, add a giant bow attached with baby diaper pins, add one of my personalized DIY cards (find those linked here) and give it to the couple just like that. It’s so beautiful and fun to display as is that there is no need for wrapping.
